Bearing Thread Missing Detection System:

>Advanced Image Processing: A customized vision-based system is developed to detect thread missing of bearings in automotive components. In this detection protocol, we are mainly checking the presence/absence and orientation of the bearings. Since the bearing is a circular product, the angle varies from 0 degrees to 360 degrees and the developed system easily detects products irrespective of the major variations in angle. Our system consists of high-speed/high accuracy cameras, high resolution/high distortion lenses for capturing clearer/crispier/sharp images of the bearings. To avoid the reflection created by the bearing, a special purpose illumination unit is used. The production efficiency of the product is improved because of the elimination of manual visual checking.
